In-Between choice thoughts

As I sit to write this letter to you, I am back after riding my bicycle - yes I said bicycle - from Toronto to Montreal here in Canada - a fundraising ride (www.bikerally.org) of over 660 km (500 m)! Thank goodness the 400 of us who participated had six days in which to cover the distance.

An amazing feat? - Yes!. And for several reasons. First and foremost, this was my 6th such ride in 10 years. I keep wondering why I do these things. Mostly it is for the cause. Sometimes it is for the challenge, both mental and physical.

But above all it is because I said I would.

And what does this have to do with you and choice?

choice is about to celebrate its 5th year of service to professional coaches and those who use their coaching skills in their work and personal lives. And choice, the magazine of professional coaching, was created in much the same way as my commitment to riding for charity - because I said I would.

In the past five years choice has grown and improved into an editorial "must read" for the coaching community, with excellent articles providing take-home information, designed in a professional, upscale magazine format that continues to reach more and more people around the world.

And most of all, choice appreciates and honors all of the ways coaching came about and exists in the world today.

Come celebrate both choice and coaching with us in our upcoming issue, as we go down memory lane with many coaching leaders, old and new, who tell their personal stories and the stories of those amazing pioneers in this growing industry.

We are honored to be able to provide this magazine to the world of coaching and ask that you to continue to support us into the next five years with your great articles, advertising and readership. We would not be here today if it not for all of you.

Every true profession has its own magazine, and choice is ours! Here's to you, to coaching, and to choice, for many years to come.

Until next time,
Garry T. Schleifer, Publisher
choice Magazine
