What's Journaling Got to Do With It?


Part 3: Challenge 3 - Marketing and Sales


One of the greatest challenges of coaches all over the world is the task of generating and maintaining a solid client base. How does one generate leads? How does one keep clients coming back for more? How does one generate referrals and how does a good coach learn what their client base wants from them?

A Journaling Platform will help you generate leads, identify client needs, and allow you to communicate with your prospects and past clients on an ongoing basis.

Incorporate a Journaling Platform on your site as a lead generation device. Offer visitors a free, secure, on-line journal to use 24/7. Offer them journaling prompts so that they have some idea of what to journal about. This will give prospects a reason to come back to your site over and over again and learn about you, get to know you, and continue to interact with you and your brand. When they sign up, not only do they provide you with their name and email address, they are encouraged to create a full profile about themselves on the site.

Number these:
Leverage a journal-based coaching community.
Find a journaling platform that already has an established coaching membership that you can leverage. A community of journalers, where people are invited to read and comment on each other's journals, creates stickiness on your website and gets people coming back for more. There is no more powerful way to build relationships with others than to share your most personal and intimate thoughts and experiences. The social networking component of a Journaling Platform is specifically designed for people to get to know each other, develop meaningful relationships, and supply brilliant testimonials on your behalf.

Communicate with Your Journaling Platform Membership
Use the Journaling software to let your membership know what you are up to. Send them updates about your new coaching classes and e-courses. Use the Content from your Journaling Platform to learn about your client needs
Read journal entries and look for trends in content in order to supply your clients with what they need. For example, if a variety of journalers indicate that they are grappling with their spouses, then create a coaching program or course that addresses relationships. If money is the issue, create a coaching group that focuses on increasing wealth.

A journaling platform is an incredibly powerful marketing and sales device for both new and experienced coaches.
