How to Submit an Article to choice Magazine
Thank you for your interest in writing for choice Magazine. For coaches and other coaching professionals who want to be published, share their experiences and give something back to the community, writing for choice is a great opportunity.
Our Audience
choice Magazine is published to provide and promote development, growth, education, and success and to build community among all persons professionally involved in the fields of life, executive and corporate coaching, human resources, consulting and mentoring.
Article Considerations
choice Magazine publishes feature articles, profiles and interviews, departments and columns. Topics include education and training, coaching philosophies, business issues and marketing, client enrollment, legal considerations, career development, coaching resources and business building practices.
Reader Contributions
choice Magazine welcomes and encourages submissions from readers. Articles must be original and preferably unpublished. Articles should not be "advertorial" which is "advertising disguised as editorial." There should be no self-promotion or promotion of your particular training recommendations or products or services that you may offer. The article should not be self-serving in any way.
You may submit articles and/or ideas to choice Magazine in one of two ways: Unsolicited Articles or Query Letters. Since we publish four issues a year, we have limited editorial space in choice Magazine, but please be assured that all submissions are considered.
Unfortunately we cannot reply to all unsolicited articles or queries unless we are considering it for publication. Also know that from time-to-time, choice Magazine may choose to publish an e-mail newsletter or additional articles exclusive to our website. Our reader contributions may be used in other various mediums where the same Writer's Guidelines apply. There is no payment, trade, or other fees for articles selected to appear in choice.
Unsolicited Articles
All unsolicited articles are sent to us on speculation. For those submissions that are of interest to us, you should receive a reply within one to two months. We do not reply to all unsolicited articles. Read the Writer's Guidelines and the Submission Requirements for more information.
Query Letters
We encourage story proposals via a query letter. A query (a letter proposing your story idea), explains what you plan to cover and how you will proceed with the reporting. The query should convince us that we should cover the subject, offer descriptive information on how you, the writer, would treat the subject, convey your approach, tone, and style, and should answer the following: What are your specific qualifications to write on this topic? What "ins" do you have with your sources? Can you provide full documentation so that your story can be fact-checked? We prefer a written proposal of 150 to 200 words as a preliminary query. Please send your Query Letters to
